C. Jean Currie-Mills (Nee Stewart)
November 15, 1928 - March 18, 2023
It is with sorrow that the Currie-Mills family announces the peaceful passing of Jean surrounded by family on March 18, 2023, in her 95th year. She joins her beloved husband, Jack, of 58 years.
Jean was the loving mother of Brian (Sharon, deceased), Marva (Doug), Debbie, and Darryl (Marsha).
She is also predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Florence (nee Pirie) Stewart of Clarendon, Quebec and her brothers Lloyd (Ella), Nellis (Norma), and Lorne (Rita) Stewart. Cherished grand-mother of Tracey (Paul), Stephanie (Matt), Scott, Mark (Monica) and Noelle (Mike). Loving great-grandmother of Hazel, Eli, Emmett, Ashlea, Sean, Tessa and Theo. Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
After high-school, Jean taught in a one-room school and then raised her family in Renfrew. For 60+ years she was a faithful member of Trinity St. Andrews United church and Order of the Eastern Star. Jean was a decades-long volunteer with Meals on Wheels. Jean’s passions included her orchids, quilting, bowling, solving cyber quotes, playing bridge and enjoying her summers at the cottage.

Family and friends are invited to visitation at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew, on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 9:30am until the time of service in the Zohr Family Chapel at 11:00am. A private interment will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity St. Andrews United Church or Sunshine Coach (Friends of the Disabled).
