Obituary for Carl Joseph Lacombe

Carl Joseph Lacombe
August 21, 1944 - October 20, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Carl Lacombe on October 20, 2022.

Carl was much loved and will be missed by his wife of 54 years Geraldine (O'Neill), their children Corrie (Darcy), Colleen, Curtis (Stacey), and Carl's daughter Colleen Hagarty (David Bowie). Caring and proud Papa to all grandchildren, Shamus, Cutler, Britnee, Riley, Kallie, Saylor, Syren, Samantha, Jaclyn, Katrina and his sister Theresa Robinson.

Predeceased by his parents Abraham and Laura (Bissonette). Carl was the youngest of the siblings, Donald, Eva, Leah, Ida and Channie. Left to mourn are numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends as well as companions he met throughout his longstanding career with the Ministry of Transportation. All will remember him as a humble gentleman who loved to socialize and was dedicated to his family. Carl had a passion for sports and always demonstrated genuine care and helpfulness toward others.

Carl enjoyed his retirement for 28 years golfing, curling, and volunteering within his Catholic Faith Community and of course spending precious moments with his family. The family would like to extend their thanks to many friends and family for the support, food, flowers, cards, and also the paramedics/ hospital staff and Zohr Family Funeral Home who attended to Carl.

To honour Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 5, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church at 11:00am with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Lions Hall from 12:00-6:00pm with lunch provided. A interment will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to the Killaloe Curling Club. Tributes and condolences may be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
