Danny Harrington
December 4th, 1948 – February 15th, 2023

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we share the passing of a loving, kind and gentle soul, Daniel (Danny) Harrington on February 15th, 2023. Danny in his 75th year, died peacefully surrounded by his family at Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Loving husband of Wendy (Lepine) and devoted father of Devin (Cristina Knelson), Dylan (Amy Pecarski) and Nolan (Genna Pearce). Proud grandpa to Ryder and Austin, Emmerson, Charlotte and Jack. Predeceased by his parents, Jack and Vera (Coghlan) Harrington. Cherished by his brother David (Trudy Chippier) and in laws Wayne (deceased) and Linda Lepine, Jim and Ann Lepine, Patrick and Judy Cybulskie. Celebrated by his nine nieces and nephews and countless friends in the Ottawa Valley and beyond.
Danny was born and raised in Killaloe, Ontario. He attended Ryerson University and graduated with a degree in Restaurant Management. In 1983, Danny married the love of his life, Wendy and they started a family in Killaloe. He continued his strong ties to the community as the owner of Killaloe Hardware for over 20 years. He was an avid volunteer in the community for over 40 years and devoted much of his time on numerous boards, including the Killaloe Food Bank, Community Resource Center (CRC), Killaloe District Housing and Killaloe Irish Gathering.
A true family man, Danny loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, regularly travelling to Kanata, Carp and Pickering.
Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 20th at 11:00 am at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Killaloe Lions Hall. Danny requested casual attire (no suits).
