Obituary for Elizabeth Thelma Popham (Thurman)

She left us while sleeping peacefully in her home on Oct 4, 2020
Elizabeth was born in Houston Texas to Richard and Lesa Thurman. Proud big sister to Ricky, Dale, Robert, Marian, Anne, Jeannette, John, Terry. Mother to April Dawn and Daniel Justin and Grandmother to Benjamin Dale and Malcolm Ryder.
Elizabeth was proceeded in death by her long time love Raymond Riddell. They spent their lives together not locked in a tight embrace but side by side stronger and happier together.
All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm and grace.
For many years she worked as a talented legal secretary and eventually as a parliamentary secretary during the 1980s. Passing in the hallways the likes of Pierre Trudeau, Joe Clark and Brian Mulroney. Meeting Prince Charles and Princess Diana at a banquet, and once making Queen Elizabeth laugh openly. She was particularly proud of that moment.
Elizabeth led a full life of adventure settling in Killaloe, Ontario where she built her little log cabin home and picturesque gardens. She loved living in the countryside and being surrounded by nature and her beloved animals. Elizabeth proudly lived her life her way impressing us all with her strength and independence. She will forever be loved and missed by us all.
