Obituary for Gayle Ann Miller (Utronki)

With breaking hearts, the family announces the passing of Gayle Ann Miller (Utronki) very unexpectedlyin her 74th year at her home in Renfrew. She is survived by her loving husband, Doug, of 50 years. Beloved mother of Kurtis (Lindsay) of Kingston and Chad (Anya) of Renfrew. Adored grandmother of Abigail, Kylie, Novah and Halle. She is survived by her sisters Lois (Bill Butson) of Renfrew, Connie (Jack Richards) of Cornwall and her brother Frank of Renfrew, as well as her special Uncle Jim Utronki also of Renfrew. Gayle is predeceased by her parents Bernard and Pearl (St. Louis) Utronki as well as her sister Barb (Bob Storie) of Deep River, and her brother Al (late Bev Utronki) of Renfrew. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of St. Joseph’s High School and Renfrew Collegiate Institute, Gayle was hired by James A. Mackillican and Associates where she worked for 43 years. She was an avid sports enthusiast; enjoying friends and competitions at both the Renfrew Golf Club and Dragonfly; she loved boating excursions on the Ottawa River, fishing for pickerel or enjoying the neighbors; and cheering on her grand-daughter’s ringette teams. Gayle excelled in her flower and vegetable gardens which provided her many hours of outdoor solace and enterainment. She volunteered countless hours with the Salvation Army, the Valley Thrift Store and at church luncheons with the CWL. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends, along with her community to which she devoted so much of her time and compassion.

Friends may call at Zohr Family Funeral Home, 85 Munroe Aveune East Renfrew, for memorial visitation from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Friday April 1, 2022. Memorial Mass will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Renfrew on Saturday April 2, 2022 at 11am and will be followed by a lunch reception in the parish hall.
