Covey, Gertrude Salomea (Dota)
Peacefully at Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023 at the age of 96. Loving mother of the late Kenneth Covey. Survived by her loving sister Sally Mask of Round Lake Centre. Daughter in law Grace (Friend), grandchildren Mathew, Melissa and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anastasia (Chapeskie) Dota, sister Ann and brothers in law Arnold Sernoskie and Patrick Mask. Brother Ambrose and sister in law Irene Peplinski. Godmother to Delmer Mask. Special Aunt who will be greatly missed by Sandy and Blair, Adam, Krista (Scott Graham) and Hilary. Ron (Laurie), Delmer, Dale, Brenda (Allan), Joan (Aldo), Wayne (Rene), Carl, Linda, Chris and families. Gert always made time for family and friends. Her endless love, care and devotion to others will always be remembered.
Many thanks to all the staff at Marianhill, the Pembroke Regional Hospital staff, doctors and nurses who cared for Gert over the past few years.
Visitation will be held at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe on Saturday, March 18 from 9:30am-10:30am. Funeral mass will take place at St. Casimir's Catholic Church, Round Lake Centre on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at 11:00am.
