Dear Liz. I was working at GPL a number of years ago when I met your Mom. She made me laugh with her witty comments. Please accept my sympathy on her loss.

I really don't know how to start this message. First of all, did your Mom, Gladys, work in Ottawa in her younger years? If not, this ends here. I have been trying to get in touch with a Gladys Johnston in the past few years but didn't get anywhere. If by any chance this is the same Gladys I worked with in Ottawa in the late 50's. Sandering Ham apt. building. If you happen to find a connection, I think she was my maid of Honor at our very private wedding on July 27th, 1959. I would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about this.. Please e-mail me at My name is Velma Marecak, nee,Liedtke in Pembroke.
