Passed away peacefully at Bonnechere Manor, Renfrew on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the age of 92. Daughter of the late Herbert and Florence (Holmes) Roberts. For 22 years she was the best friend, dance partner and loving wife of Verner Hass. It was never a dull moment since September 1, 2000. They always had love, laughter and music in the house.
Dear mother of Lorraine (late Jan) of N.B, Marilyn of North Bay and Karen (Wade) of N.B. Beloved grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 14. Stepmother of Verna (David), Bev (Bryan), Rachel (late Doug) and Mark. She will be remembered by her 9 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Eric Roberts and her sister Shirley Tortington. She is predeceased by 1 infant great grandchild
May immigrated from Peterborough, England to Barrie, Ontario where she worked in various departments stores, moved to Pembroke and retired as a manager at Woolco in 1994. May had lots of activities that she loved- reading, crafts, travelling, attending church and dancing.. lots and lots of dancing.
Friends and family are welcome to gather at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Eganville on Thursday morning at 11am. A private family interment will take place at the Barrie Union Cemetery.
