It is with great sadness, but also with joy that we announce that Jesus came and took Kornil to his heavenly home on Monday, September 5th. He was 87 years old. He went to Renfrew Victoria Hospital on August 15th where he got a respiratory infection and went down hill from there. He leaves to mourn his wife Darlene of nearly 65 years, his daughter Kathryn (Jim), son Glenn (Jim), granddaughter Amelia and his adopted grandchildren Nic (Leanna), Nat, Emily (Ryan), Maria and 2 adorable great granddaughters Gabriella and Lilianna. Kornil is predeceased by his parents Paul and Irena Mielke, brother Walter (Nora), sister Alvina (Edward Hadke). Also left to mourn are brother in-law Delmer (Judy), Jim (late Myrna), Edna (late Robert), Esther (late Nelson) and Fred. He will also be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and a multitude of friends. A big thank you to the nurses and doctors at Renfrew Victoria Hospital that took care of him for the last few weeks of his life.

Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9th, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 from 10:00-10:30am followed by a funeral service at Zion Lutheran Church, Augsburg at 11:00am. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
