I tried to call heaven today
Once again my phone didn't know the way
The conversations I want to have
Why don't we know one day it's only a grave
The days and weeks pass so fast
You never know how long you have or how your time will pass
Laugh, cry, dance and love while you can
Hold them tight, love them right
Because one day we all return to a greater hand
I hope your happy and I hope your strong
That the pains of earth cannot linger on
Your days are filled with those like me
Who laugh and live and cherish thee
Laugh, cry, dance and love while you can
Hold them tight, love them right
Because one day we all return to a greater hand
Through the days and nights I grin and bear
The loads this earth places without care
I call for you but you're not there
The ways unclear but I feel your care
Send me signs when you can
I'll hold you tight, remember you right
Because one day I know ill hold your hand
