Obituary for Joan Mulvihill

It is with great sadness that we announce that Joan Mulvihill was given her wings on January 27, 2022 after a short battle with covid. The Lord sent his angels to bring her home. Left to mourn are her siblings, Stanley Mulvihill of Calabogie, Marjorie Guzonas of Flesherton, and Leona Korchuk of Bloomfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents Daniel & Margaret (Kenopic) Mulvihill and her siblings and spouses, Francis Mulvihill (Molly), TP Mulvihill (Catherine), Violet Berger (Glen), Shirley Cameron (Billy), Clarissa Mulvihill, Doris Swiderski (Chester), Gerald “Chum” Mulvihill (Ellie Pincombe). Also predeceased by her in-laws, Lois Mulvihill , Stanley Guzonas and Al Korchuk. Joan loved traveling and her greatest memory was when she walked on the Great Wall of China. She traveled far and wide to many continents and loved every minute of it. Joan loved family and keeping together was extremely important to her. She especially loved her “littles” as she referred to her many nieces and nephews of many generations. She loved gardening and her African violets. When she had to leave her home in Calabogie she was sad to leave her “wild" friends Sammy a groundhog, Chiefo a chipmunk and her birds that she fed all the time. We would like to thank the staff of the Bonnechere Manor for the kindness and compassion they showed to our precious Joan. Our hearts are broken but we must remember Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken-hearted and he binds their wounds. Until we meet again.
