Obituary for Aurelia Skebo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aurelia Skebo (nee Sullivan), on Saturday, October 7th, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Ray Skebo and devoted mother of Kevin (Thelma), Philip (Sandy), Ron (Georgina), and Pat (Jean Charbonneau). She was a very proud grandmother to Zac, Alan, Kelsey, Kirk, Stephen, Veronica, Samantha, Lisa, Emily and Greg, as well as a doting great grandmother of Sam, Ben, Hallie, Berkleigh, Elowen, and Luke.

She will be dearly missed by her youngest sister and loving friend, Betty (late Jimmy Mullin) and her niece, neighbour, and supportive friend, Ann, as well as by countless nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her brother Francis (late Lucile), sister Marie (late Shannon Summers), and sister-in-law Eileen Little.

Mom willingly stepped into the roles of homemaker and caregiver at an early age with maturity and grace beyond her years. She will always be remembered as a resilient problem solver and someone you could count on for trusted advice. With God as her guiding light, Mom navigated all aspects of life with kindness, respect, and dignity.

She spent many hours sewing, quilting, and knitting, and loved sharing her beautiful work with her children and grandchildren.

A special thank you to all of her extended family who supported her, especially in these last years. Thanks, as well, to Dr. Tiedje, the caring staff of the Killaloe Assisted Living Group and the Champlain Gardens Retirement Home.

Professional arrangements entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 am. Burial will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery.
