He will be dearly missed by his sisters Mary, Bonnie and Teresa.

"Our Dad Loved Life!" He was a generous, loving father and a very proud Grampa. His grandchildren were his world. He enjoyed playing his guitar, entertaining everyone with his bold, beautiful voice, even though underneath, he was very shy. Dad was never short of words, often sharing words of wisdom. He loved gardening, working with wood, which he was always so good at. Dad loved a good game of cribbage in which he was hard to beat. He loved fishing and always had room for a good joke. His laugh was so hearty, he had everyone laughing with him. He loved his western and war movies and he had a juke box that he would sing and dance to every day. Dad was so knowledgable, we learned so much from him. He was also so organized, everything was always in it's place. Dad built two houses in his lifetime, loving every minute of it, he loved the feel and smell of the wood. No day ever went by wasted. Dad was a jack of all trades. He did many different jobs, he worked hard since the age of 13. Many of his jobs were as a salesman and he was great at it. Everyone was his friend.

Dad had a strong faith.
Our Dad had been battling illness for the last few years, and he did fight hard. We would like to thank everyone who was there to help him and made each day special. Thanks to Father Kerry Brennan for your visits, kindness, support and prayers. Thanks go to Renfrew Victoria Hospital, Ottawa Cancer Unit, Ottawa Heart Institute, Pembroke Regional Hospital, Dr. Strader, Dr. Blaine, Dr. Langlois, Dr. Bishop, Dr. Pinard, Bayshore nurses, staff at Renfrew Victoria Hospital day oncology unit, and a special thanks to all the loving and compassionate care from the "Earth Angels" at Hospice Renfrew, so much appreciated.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
