With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Otto Mittag on Thursday May 12, 2022 peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke at the age of 91. Predeceased by his wife Rita (Behnke) and brothers Ewald, Erwin and Albert. Survived by his children Linda (Jack) Armstrong, Melvin and Brenda (Larry) Schruder. Mourned by his grandchildren Jeffrey, Michelle, Courtney and Tyler. Survived by his sisters Elma and Ida, brother Eric and sisters-in-law Judy, Jane and Ronda.
A man of many skills, he was most known as a contractor in the Eganville area. He was a hard worker with a kind heart, a good sense of humour, and a wide circle of friends. He will be missed by many.
Otto's final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. Visitation will begin on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 12:30-1:30pm, followed by a funeral service at St. John's Lutheran Church, Augsburg at 2:00pm. Interment St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Augsburg.
