Obituary for P. Barrie Dick
DICK, Peter Barrie Kerr
March 27, 1940 - December 1, 2022
Barrie passed away peacefully at Bonnechere Manor in his 83rd year. The oldest son of Barclay and Eva Dick, he devoted most of his life to the family farm and then worked with brother Robert, mainly in the production of Dick Bros. Pedigreed Seeds. Barrie's unending determination allowed him to overcome his physical challenges. In later years his four-wheeler gave him independence to combat the dandelions and thistles on his pasture farm.
He is lovingly remembered by his 3 brothers Robert (Patricia), Bruce (Connie), Kevin (Veronica) and his sister Marlene (Louis) as well as nephews, nieces and their families.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the Second-Floor staff of Bonnechere Manor and Dr. Strader for their many years of diligent care.
Barrie's final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. A family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in the Douglas Public Cemetery at 11:00am.
