Rita Madelaine Clackett (Desjardins)
March 31, 1939 - May 14, 2022

Rita passed away the evening of Saturday May 14/2022 after a long battle with dementia. She passed
away with her family by her side at the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew at the age of 83.

Beloved daughter to the late Eugene and Odana Desjardins. Dedicated wife to Ron Clackett.
Loving mother to Bryan and his wife Karin, Kathy and her husband Dave Yantha, and Dale
and his wife Jennifer. Proud Grandmother to Miranda and her husband Dan Richer, Chritopher
and his wife Leah,Shawn and his husband Tim Alex, Amber, Kyle, Brandon and the late Desmond. Great Grandmother to
Owen, Nate, Alice ,Rory and Jonathan. Sister to Rene and his wife Simone, Andre and his wife Gracia,
Therese and her husband Arthur, Archie and his wife Pauline, Lucien and his wife Jacqueline,
Cecile and her husband Jacque, Jacqueline and her husband Rolland, Guy and his wife Linda,
Normand and his wife Doris and Gaetane and her husband Claude. She was blessed with many
neices and nephews. Brother and Sister-in-law to Gary and Cathy Clackett.
Best friends and partners in crime Ron and Dawn Roy.

Rita came from a large loving French Catholic family. She was the second youngest of 11 children,
She was born in Sudbury, Ontario and grew up in Cornwall, Ontario.
Rita met Ron at the 16, they were married for 63 years.

Rita was a military wife who was remembered for her involvement in sports and managing canteens
where she was know as "Mom" to many of the young men and women in the armed forces.
She not only served, she brightened everyones day.

Rita loved to travel, her adventures took her to Hawaii, Australia, Lake Placid(sunburnt honeymoon)
Holland,Paris, Rome, River Cruise on the Rhine, Snowbirds in Florida, Family fun camping trips
on the bus and enjoying motorcycle tours.

After retirement, Rita enjoyed her Round Lake Community. Rita and Ron lovingly cleared the land
and built their home. She loved curling and enjoyed working events and attending St. Casimir's Church.

Rita's home for the last 9 years was the Bonnechere Manor.Thank you for the Expert care from
all the staff, they loved her so much. Rita's family would like donations made to the Bonnechere
Manor, Butterfly Approach Project.

She will be deeply missed for her infectious smile, enthusium and very happy demeaner.
She loved to sing and dance and lived life to the fullest. Her generous nature had her donating
her time as a teacher assistant helping young children learn to read and interact.

Rita's final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home on Round Lake (63 Rocky Shores Lane, Killaloe, Ontario K0J 2A0) on Saturday, June 11,2022 from 1:00 until 5:00p.m. Tributes, and condolences may be left online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
