Rita had an unassuming dignity and even though she never sought the limelight, she was her family’s shining light. She had a great love for them and they for her. Kind and gentle, with a strong faith in God and a deep spirituality, she found happiness in the simple joys of life. Rita lived a long and healthy life, fit as a fiddle from all the hard work she did on the farm – she got great satisfaction from tending her vegetable gardens, working on farm chores with Louis, keeping an immaculate house and having delicious meals for family and friends.

Rita's final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. Due to COVID-19 concerns, there will be no funeral and a private interment held at St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Round Lake Centre. A memorial mass and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date when it is safer to do so and more of her family and friends will be able to attend.
