Obituary for Roy Alwyn Kuehl

Roy Alwyn Kuehl was born in 1939 and grew up on an old farm near Old Killaloe. He became an electrician and built up his own business in Kitchener for a number of years. He then built and operated Pine Cone Park on Round Lake while he also operated Kuehl Electric and several school bus routes. He spent a term as Reeve of the then Killaloe, Hagartty and Richards Township.
Later in life, he enjoyed trips on his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycles and competitive Trap shooting at gun clubs here and in Florida.
Son of the late Leonard Kuehl and Mini Weber
He is survived by his 3 children: Barry, Colleen (late Hal Van Wert), Karen (Bill Mulligan) and their mother Joy Kuehl. Cherished grandpa to Brody Mulligan (Tara), Corey Mulligan (Erica) and Candice (Adam Wright). Great-grandfather to Colton and Haley, Gracelyn and Mason – and new twins Wyatt and Jackson.
He will be missed by his sister Lois (James Henneberry), brothers Warren (Elizabeth) and Russell (Isabel Zurich) and his long-time partner, Sue Parks.
We send a big thank you to the staff of 3B at Miramichi Lodge for their excellent, compassionate care over the past 1 ½ years.
With the current COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private family visitation at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. A graveside service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at noon.
