Obituary for Sandra Leeann Friend
We are saddened to announce the passing of Sandra Friend surrounded by her immediate family at the age of 59 after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s.
Survived by her siblings Percy (Phyllis) Friend, Olive Nighbor-Cahill (Ray), Beverley Lambert, Violet Cronier, Grace Covey and Patrick (Patricia) Friend.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law Claudette Friend, a special aunt Carmel Yantha, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by her parents Stephen and Louise (Yantha) Friend, brother David and her sisters Audrey Lorbetski and Gladys.
She will be missed by her Madawaska Valley Community Living family.
Sandra's final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no visitation, cremation will take place and inurnment of her ashes will be held at St. Casimir's Catholic Cemetery, Round Lake Centre in the spring.
