Obituary for Susan Catherine Fraser

On Wednesday, March 24th, 2021, our much loved mother, sister, aunt and friend departed this world. Susan Catherine Fraser (Susie, Sue, SusieQ, Fabulous Aunt Sue) predeceased by Glenna and Don, both of whom she cared for with kindness and devotion until their last days, mother of Liam (Amy), sister to Doug (Margo), Andy (Cathy), and Leslie (Skip). Her nieces and nephews also had a special place in her heart and will miss her dearly; Camie (Kevin), Katie (Mike), Allison (Ramzi), Alex, TC and Graham (Julie). Her great nieces and nephews will have their Fabulous Aunt Sue in their hearts and memories, Finlay, Grace, Tim, Mhairi, Faris, Drew, Charlotte and Natalie. Extended family include her forever friend Janice and her coffee party sisters with whom she shared so many laughs and memories.
Sue spent her life caring for others as a PSW for residents of the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew. She filled our hearts with laughter, delicious baked treats, dish cloths, and more love than we could probably accept in ourselves. We are all better for knowing her.
The family would like to thank the incredible kindness of Dr. D’Egidio, Dr. Hooper and the ICU staff at Ottawa’s Civic Hospital, the Cancer Clinic staff at the Ottawa General Hospital, Dr. Awan, and at the incredible care provided by the Cancer Care team at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society (Breast Cancer Awareness) or Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church, Renfrew in Honour of Sue’s time with us.
Sue’s final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life gathering at Thompsonville Cemetery for a time of remembrance and the inurnment of her cremated remains is scheduled for Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11am. Friends are encouraged to RSVP online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com in Sue's Book of Memories under services, if you would like to attend. Covid Restrictions are still in place a limited number of spaces are available. If attending the cemetery service masks and physical distancing are still required.
