Ellis, Terry Glen in his 59th year, passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, Surrounded by his wife Donna, his mother and brothers, on Thursday, October 15, 2020.
Terry leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Donna Zohr-Ellis, his mother Marilyn Gillies and stepfather Bob, of Aylmer Ontario, brothers Gerald (Judy) of Golden Lake Ontario, Dave (Kim) of Aylmer Ontario, Dean of Eden Ontario as well as his stepmother Joyce Willet. Terry was predeceased by his father Glen Ellis. Terry was stepfather to Ashley (Marc) and Colin (Hannah), and the proudest "Poppa" to Carter, Jaxon, Dominic and Charlie. He was a loving son-in-law to Bruno and Ethel Zohr, brother-in-law of Charles (Kim), Terry (Jane) and Mike (Denise). He was loved by 14 nieces and nephews, many aunts and uncles as well as cousins.
Terry known as "Sliver" to some, had many special, special friends: Kevin, Rudy, Brian, Brent, Dave K, Dave S, Bernie and Mel just to name a few. We all got to enjoy his infectious smile, but sometimes he could light a fire, if you pushed the right button! Terry actively helped with the Golden Lake United Church Camp, and was a member of the North Algona Wiberforce Volunteer Fire Department.
Professional services have been entrusted to the care of Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. There will be no visitation, and a private memorial graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 10am, THIS SERVICE WILL BE LIVE STREAMED ON THE ZOHR FAMILY FUNERAL HOME FACEBOOK PAGE. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to give a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society online at It would be very much appreciated.

Our sincere sympathy to Donna and family. We were neighbours with Terry for over 30 years. We will never forget his smile and infectious laugh. We always admired his many skills, from building his log house to making ice candles at Christmas time. On several occasions, he willingly looked after our house while we were away. He was always there if we needed help. We enjoyed many chats on Berndt Road when we would meet Terry and Donna out for their walk when we were out for ours. He will be missed by many!

Jay and I have so many great memories of Terry. From my waitressing days at Gold Crest Lodge to our high school classes and spares in the library when we seemed to be in danger of being kicked out regularly due to Terry's inability to laugh quietly. Many times during our college days we picked him up in Peterborough and gave him a lift home for the weekend. He came to visit us in Kitchener and we had so many laughs over so many games of cards. Terry has a laugh that was totally infectious. When we were building our home he was right there ready to lend a hand - he built our kitchen cabinets and a wall unit which we still get many compliments on. He definitely took pride in his work. Terry was a rock solid friend to us and to so many others. We are going to miss him terribly. He definitely had so much life still to live. Our condolences to the Ellis and Zohr families. We share your grief. We will miss you Terry.
