Obituary for Tina Elizabeth Howell (Moffatt)

Tina Elizabeth Howell (Moffatt), at the age of 59, from Eganville, Ontario, passed away after her 2 year battle with cancer on July 22, 2022 in Barry’s Bay, Ontario at the Madawaska Valley Hospice.

Tina was born in Ottawa to Conrad and Sheila Moffatt on July 21, 1963. She married Peter Howell on August 8, 2008 in Eganville, Ontario. Tina had 3 kids who were her entire world, as well as 4 stepchildren who she treated like her own. She was always the type of person that all her children’s friends would call Mom and be welcomed into her home anytime. Tina was a grandma to 13 wonderful grandchildren. She worked at many different local companies where she met lots of people throughout the years. Tina was also known for her corky home décor that she would collect from all over the world. She was a fun, loving and caring person who could make anyone smile.

Tina is preceded in death by her father Conrad Moffatt and mother Sheila Moffatt.

Tina is survived by her spouse Peter Howell, her children Jamie McLaren (Lindsay), Matt McLaren (Katie Kouri) and Brittni McLaren (Ryan Barr). Her stepchildren Melissa Copeland (Kyle), Tracy Russell (Cody), Amber Howell (Jamie Trenhaile) and Brent Howell (Kaitlyn Milligan). Her sister Julia Moffatt (John Regensdorfer). All her grandchildren Bennett and Nora McLaren, William and Weston Barr, Cash and Zoey Benoit-Copeland, Carter Copeland, Aidan, Madalynn and Charlotte Russell, Waylon Trenhaile, Alania and Nolan Howell.

The family of Tina Howell wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all her wonderful Doctors in the Ottawa Cancer Centre and all the amazing PSWs, Nurses and Volunteers at the Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care Centre.

Professional arrangements have been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Eganville. Cremation has taken place. The family encourages memorial donations to be given to the Madawaska Valley Hospice (St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation) or the Canadian Cancer Society.
