Christa Ilsa Hartwig (Bloedow).
April 6, 1928-June 11, 2017
Christa Ilsa Hartwig was called to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, at the age of 89, with her family by her side.
Beloved wife of the late Milburn Hartwig. Loving mother of Alfred (Grace), Leslie (Lorraine), Gwen (Eldon Wharram ), David (Anne), Iona (late Dan Brazeau), Delroy (June), Don (DonnaLee), Milton (Sandy), Sandi (Lowell Parks), Pam (Dave Croppo).
Christa devoted her life to her family and her church, also having a passion for gardening, quilting and knitting. Christa was actively playing the piano and was the treasurer in her church. She always looked forward to family holiday dinners and was blessed with a large family. She was the dear sister of (the late John) Mona, Renate, Edmond (late Audrey), Ruth (Pierre), Herman (Lynn). Christa was a gramma to 36 grandchildren (2 deceased) and a great grandmother to 71, (1 deceased) for a total of 110 grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all.
A special thank you to the Drs., caregivers and EMS at the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at Eganville Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 11am. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Eganville Baptist Building Fund would be much appreciated by her family. Condolences, tributes and donations can be made on-line at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
